I'm not sure why only top 50 qualify, a lot of players who have already qualified are finishing in the top 50, and they can keep playing again and again, so it takes away spots from others. They should take the top 50 in each who didn't already qualify.
@krxou the tournament regulations specify duplicates will be removed, so if someone is in the top 50 in multiple events only the first time they qualified will count. Their top 50 place in other arenas will be given to the next highest placed eligible player.

Ah, okay, thank you for clarifying. It was not clear in the official rules and many people have been asking about it in the tournament chats every day, in streams, etc. The consensus was that it was top 50 regardless of if one has qualified. The duplicates mention in the rules also some thought referred to a duplicate account.
But you did not mention titled players who are already qualified before playing for the first time. So titled players are also not counted in the 50?
