I cannot choose a chess opening.

I knew no openings till 2300 (and that's the reason why I'm still at 1250 FIDE), so not that questionable
I’m finding it difficult to find some nice openings myself. So I’m just focusing on the end game more...

> Sicilian is good but is better for master and 2300+ than for 1800-2000. Too much lines and variations. I think that, Caro kann/slav defense is easier to memorize and solid AND agressive ! Scandinavian is not bad for Blitz but not the best for rapid and classic. For white, forget Ruy Lopez and Petrov if you cannot memorize 2-3 lines. The King gambit is very agressive and it's a nice choose for offensive players.

How is slav agressive????????
Copy every move your opponent makes. No need to figure out an opening.
King's gambit - can be great fun - although not played at world championship level, players like Boris Spassky could play it to great effect.

For white: King's Gambit, Morra/Wing gambit, Two knights attack vs the French, and Caveman Caro-Kann (1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 Bf5 4. h4 h5 5. Bg5)

For Black: Scandinavian, Modern Benoni
