A first time Grandmaster Titled Arena winner and Nakamura's forbidden platform.

Anyone have a link to Eric's alternate twitch?
ooooch ooooch oooooch.
dear gm. hikaru, i know you are a very important figure in chess & you are known to the whole world!!, big reputation with many followers. you don't want to cause alot of people losing their paying jobs in chess com.
if i were you i would play here anonymously.
but first I'll ensure to catch a big buck on my hand looool.
For a magnus vs hikaru match, Lichess is the perfect platform. Its like war of two nations, the battle would take place in some neutral place such as Lichess. Magnus doesn't play on chess.com much and Hikaru definitely not on Chess24.
Charities most definitely have competitors! (Even if they perhaps should not.) They compete in fundraising.
it is quite the shame honestly and i think its a bit disappointing that the site can get mad at nakamura for choosing to stream a limited time event which only takes place once a month. i can understand the reasoning for hikaru being in trouble alongside many chess.com streamers such as the chessbrahs which again i fully sympathize and feel very saddened upon hearing. i am huge fans of many of the streamers and definitely miss seeing eric hansen on here streaming like the good old days. IMO i hope that chess.com can decide to not be mad and let the American grandmaster have his own right to be able to inlist as a MAIN full time chess.com streamer but still can have the privilege along with many of his peers to stream on here and on others as well (although i don't think anyone cares much about chess24 but i am still a fan of them as well). this is a good post from lichess and again i don't know what to say as its a bit controversial, i just hope that the chess.com streamers can be given a special right to be able to maintain their role as chess.com representatives while also being able to play again on other sites such as lichess, cheers ggs

They're definitely over $10 mil annual revenue. A much smaller company, the PlayMagnus Group (with their largest offering, Chess24, rated as around a top 10,000 website) is public and from the public filings has annual revenue of around $15 - 20 mil.

Chess.com is listed as being a top 250 website, so I'd be surprised if they weren't making several times more than the Play Magnus Group.

Any charity that thinks they have competitors is a bad charity, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that they aren't a charity at all.

The point of a charity is not to raise money, that's called a business. If your charity feeds the poor, other people feeding the poor should be your allies, not your enemies.
