ALL OF YOU people most assuredly and unarguably NEED to...

Start playing Horde chess (atomic too), in blitz and correspondence. You will instantly become a better chess player and a happier, more fulfilled human being. Just do it. Start a game this second, yes YOU.
I'm not sure if this post is supposed to be honest or sarcastic. And I already do play those variants.
Coming from a player with lower Atomic / Horde rating than their standard rating, I find this post a joke. Additionally, despite being good at atomic chess, it doesn't make me a better chess player. They're just different games altogether.
#3 While I mostly agee with you , thee still ae some ways in which they might be able to help you. Atomic has helped me lean to slow down, contain myself, and pactice thinking fo a long time in a position. In atomic, a position whee one costly move will esult in the loss of a game does come up a lot, and I will be foced to slow down and think. Doing this has made me also become willing to slow down and think in cetain positions in standad chess, which definitely has helped me.
Don't you just hate it when one of you keys isn't woking.
It should play the minute waltz whenever your clock is running, then you would know how much time you have without looking ^^

But a bit of Chopin can't be bad....
Chopin is a bit too dramatic to improve my chess in my opinion. I prefer to listen to e.g. Debussy, Bach, Scarlatti. :)
I have a few favourite songs from every genre, but I think drum and bass is the most enjoyable when you're playing chess casually. It helps immersing into the gameplay.
