Absent Chess Playing Countries

Where are they? I thought chess was a world game but I've yet to play a single person from China?

Bizarre - the big advances they seem to be making and yet Lichess of all places is banned?!?!

I asked this same question a few months ago.

There's over a billion people in China, but I think I've played only 1 of those guys.

Of course I knew about their internet censorship, but I didn't know the extent of it.

I don't understand either....There are a heap of Iranians playing here and it it supposed to be a really oppressive regime? Step up China - it's chess!

A billion more players I'll probably lose against :( Actually - forget it....I like the way it is :D

I am so glad the USA hasn't banned Lichess! Aren't you?

I checked and lichess.org is available in China.
