Ng8-e7 in Caro-Kann

Hi!

I have a small question about a move recommanded by the computer/stockfish, that I don't get...

In caro-kann defense, let's say, on an "advance variation".

after a few moves (see link below) , why on earth should I play my knight Ng-e7, blocking my black bishop?

Well, if you play Be7, you will block your knight. So, the only reasonable way to get both pieces out is to first play Ng8-e7, move it somewhere else and then play Be7.

U have to play Nge7-Ng6 and then play c5 and develop your black bishop. If u play the caro kann u should know that.

Well, you cannot know anything before you learn it! :p As I begin, I still have a lot to learn...
