I am International Master and Fide Trainer Dejan Stojanovski.
• Official trainer in Alkaloid Chess Club.
• I have over 15 years of experience working as a professional chess coach with students from all over the world, including the USA, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, England, India, Turkey, and more...
• 11 years of experience as trainer for Alkaloid chess club (four times winner of the Macedonian Junior Team League, with over 20 individual titles in Macedonian junior championships and 3 in Switzerland).
• This has included working with three junior champions in Switzerland: Noah Fecker (FIDE 2350), Theo Stijve (FIDE 2300) and Elias Giesinger (FIDE 2052), and five students in North Macedonia(Mihail Jordanov,Hedon Miftari,Lazar Petrovic,Krenar Tairi,Done Georgievski) who are champions within their age-groups.
• Outside of chess, I am an agricultural engineer.

Playing experience
My career highlights include:
• 1st place Macedonian Rapid Chess Championship in 2011
• 1st place World Blitz Champion (under 18) in 1999 in Spain
• Several other wins in Open tournaments including: Dubrovnik Blitz 2008, Alkaloid Blitz, and Open Skopje 2011-12.
• I won the Macedonian junior team league 4 times with my chess school.
• I won Switzerland junior team league, with my juniors from chess club St.Gallen( Noah Fecker,Elias Giesinger,Jan Fecker and Benito Rusconi)
• Represented Macedonia this year in Greece at the European Team Chess Championship.
• Won the European championship with Alkaloid chess club in 2016 and finished 2nd in 2017.
In addition, I have had the opportunity to play great players like Magnus Carlsen (in a game that ended in a draw!) and Viktor Korchnoi.

Best skills
I have a very positive and friendly attitude, and put a lot of energy into every session. My main goal is to see happy students and to help players achieve their goals, whether that be a rating increase, a norm, or a championship win.
Teaching methodology
My teaching style is centred on interactivity and challenging students in a fun and friendly way. Rather than lecture you or focussing on memorisation, my sessions revolve around ‘Dejan’s 5-minute rule’, where you will be tasked with evaluating a position before we discuss it and assess your solution. This approach fundamentally improves the way you think, both strategically and tactically. I cover all aspects of the game and am able to provide extensive resources on openings and theoretical endings.
