I run both a local chess club in my town and chess club for the high school I work in. Each week, I create a few tournaments with exactly the same name, settings, etc. It would be great to have a feature that will allow me to create a recurring tournament (weekly and/or monthly).
I can understand lichess being worried about thousands of tournaments being created and no one joining them after a while. Perhaps a feature could be included that a recurring tournament will be cancelled after several consecutive unattended tournaments. Maybe include an alert to the tournament's creator.
