Bullet games?

So I just finished playing a bullet game recently, and it occured to me, upon seeing the analysis, that I've achieved a centipawn loss on 8 during 36 moves in a 1-minute bullet game? I can't even do this in a blitz game or classical with all the time I have in the world?

And this is not the first time I've received such a small centipawn loss on a bullet game, and specifcally bullet game - it's happend several times.

So what are your thoughts on this? Al though, the game I played my opponent did make some mistakes - and I for sure thought I did too, 100%. I can't seem to understand the system.

Well, the reasons are (in my opinion of course):
-Your opponent made a lot of bad moves and so had huge amounts of material thrown away, which makes it a easier for you to make good moves
-You made almost no moves that really lost centipawns according to the engine, so even if you thought you made some inaccurate moves they were not bad at all (this is connected with the first point, as a simple position with material up requires almost no special moves, meaning most moves are equivalent)

I think this is definitely more common in bullet (at least for you) because there it is easier to make blunders like your opponent, as well as you making easy logical moves which tend to be accurate enough.

Your response was really in-depth and gave me an excellent overview of my question. What you said makes sense and was what I thought myself according to my own question.

Thank you!
