Chess Opening Strategy Tips

@kimg04 I think, as with everything, people have different opinions. I had a chess tutor on lichess who is an IM (with 2 GM norms) and he reckons it's a good book. Each to their own...
I find it doubtful that a rating should dictate what a reader can understand or not. Unless, the book does not know how to explain concepts, chess is not alchemy, where only the initiated has the key to read rare manuscripts conferring mystical powers to the only ones who can read it. But, hey I, my DNA and my soul, are below 2000, so maybe I don't understand that I can't understand high level concepts that can only be understood through the rating ladder... Sorry, sounds a bit shaky. I don't speak 2000, maybe that's why. sorry for the tone. I am tired, and prompt to dismiss that kind of cleavage or unsupported association. I hope that I would not have that kind of private club thinking if I ever touch 2000 (don't worry, I waste too much time trying to understand chess to compete efficiently).
@ruyrogers I agree with your, chess isn't maths, in chess can exist different opinions, that's the beauty of chess.

Keep it short, clear and concise. (For future reference, please maintain the numbered sequence)

6. Control or lock down the center (Directly with a pawn or indirectly with a minor piece.) At the very least, keep an eye on it. Count who has control of it.
7. Don't move a piece more than once.
(Exceptions can be made, for example a center pawn to minimize your opponents development opportunities)
9. Don't ignore the potential of "Pawn Structures".
All pawn structures have strengths and weaknesses.
