Chess.com vs Lichess

i'm new to lichess; came from ChessCom, where i'd been for a few years as a paying ($29/yr) member.

CC positives: LONG time control tournaments readily available, even correspondence tournaments, and even themed correspondence tournaments. themed tactics, which i like a LOT.
CC negatives: must pay on a tiered schedule for services. no free analysis of any kind.

lichess positives: free, and with computer analysis, nice interface, really interesting streamers. nice community feel. kid mode seems wonderful (i teach kids and will be recommending lichess instead of chesskid)
lichess negatives: corresp. chess is poorly supported here, it's hard to get games, and there are no tournaments for corresp. chess. long time control classical chess also seems unpopular here........hard to get games. no themed tactics. this is a real weakness, as i feel themed tactics are great tools for learning

note: since i play long classical chess only, no variants, my observations reflect what i personally prefer....
I like them both but cc a little more.

I would like Lichess To Make Swiss Tournaments Also
Yes, the tactics on this site are not perfect, however if you want interesting tactics I would recommend you to chesstempo.com
Unlimited tactics come free. They are very difficult, and one of the main reasons I became as good as I am.
@G-Davis TY.. maybe i'll try CT again........ i found their interface cluttered and clunky, though....and the site seemed very dated. it was kind of obsessive.... but before i switched to chess.com, i was happy with CT
I mean their interface isnt the best but I found their tactics very difficult and intriguing
@doublebanzai Check out the Lichess4545 League:
They have the lonewolf and the regular league www.lichess4545.com/team4545/ you can get two very serious games each week just like OTB. Chesstempo is good because of the quality of their tactics not the interface.
Lichess 2.0 seems to me the fastest/most popular chess site around..
I much prefer the Lichess interface to the chess.com interface. Sadly, this is offset by the number of wimps that run away when they are losing a game, rather than playing on or resigning. I am not sure why this is so much more rampant of a problem here than at chess.com.
@G-Davis @kenzaburo

Thank you....... i'll have to look at the CT tactics themselves again.... it's difficult for me to distinguish the pros and cons of all the various tactics of the main chess sites... the tactics are all different, generated from different places, afaict. i'm still not sure how much i like lichess tactics vs. chess.com, which i liked.

and i joined the 45/45 league just now.........looking forward to it! i may join the lonewolf also - tho their games are a significantly shorter time control....
CT has bigger collection and theur new beta interface for tatctics better that old one.
- they have ttactis solving without timelimit ans blitz separatelu.
- If finda move that is goodenough but notthe very best one you get anothergo.. I dont likefailing becaus Ifound mate in four insteas of mate 3

I think thats best site for chess tactics. Does some other site guess the move over master games so that solution are scored by computer and you get rating with clicko?
