5 Centimeters of Hair: Iranian Chess in 2023

It's fascinating to watch western pundits talk about human rights. The same countries who invaded the Middle East (and the rest of the world, for that matter) to steal, rape and kill are the ones who criticize Iran for their human rights record. One just need to look at how muslims are treated inside these countries to see the fallacy of the western narrative.
Libre chess
Not
Oppression chess

The article is in perfect alignment with what lichess stands for. Critiquing a regime that jails and kills people for acting on basic human rights seems perfectly normal and natural. More so since Iran has a strong chess scene.

@Corvisquire
When will we evolve ? The Reformation occurred in the 16th Century however women in the USA just won the Right to Vote about 100 years ago' & even Today if you visit The Vatican women are asked to not show their shoulders bare , Even if a Reformation occurred in many other religions it would take time for anything resembling equal rights to occur . If we as Humans want to Evolve WOMEN NEED TO BE treated as EQUALS .

Ok then go and change flag to real

I agree with that statement but disagree in the context you are making it. Some things are politics, others are only "politics" to those who can afford (or are lucky enough) to be distant observers, but the real issue is not political but of basic humanity and fighting for it at great personal risk.

@IvanSlavaUkraini Already reported that troll, nobody should have to read his lies, logical fallacies and generalizations where he tries to justify systematic violence coz his mind is already torn to shreds by the propaganda of his dictator.

@Corvisquire To avoid ads, you can pay a fee or use an ad blocker. To live free, you have to leave the country. I get your basic point ofc, but I think you use illogical comparisons, especially since nobody forced you to read the blog or the thread why complain about something that was your free choice? In Iran you don’t have free choice.
