@ophelius what is the time control of the game you mentioned?
@azhar101 It was a 1-day per move correspondence game.
I wasn't thinking of lost queens, although I take your point. What I find is that some people go a knight or bishop down early on in the game and then resign.

I agree. Too many people resign too early. They often resign instantly without bothering to look for a way to draw or win. I'm not a quitter. If someone is beating me, I make them earn it. I have saved lost games numerous times.
