I can't login from mobile anymore...

Old Android version is a funny excuse where browser is working. And of course browser is not a solid alternative to the app for numerous reasons. It is a shame but, I'm familiar to this kind of developer attitude. It's a typical habit of freeware developers. Like "Hey, we are offering this for free and without ads so, you are slaves to obey whatever decision we take!" We thousands of users were happily playing with the app for years and now you say "Sorry, it's over!". Such a disrespectful answer. Double-check your humanity!
We are working on a new version of the app. It takes time, however, and we have limited resources. In the meantime, the best that can be offered is the advice to use the mobile web browser.
Sir, it is good news and please go on! But meanwhile, could you please give a technical explanation for this punishment. As it is a matter of certificate, why don't you keep allowing us to play until you complete the new thing? We are banned from mobile and we did not deserve this.
I am not a technical expert so this answer will appear oversimplified to those who are. It is not like we did decided to make it not work anymore.

In contrast, the app stopped working, due to changes that are outside of the app. We have to actively adapt the app to make it working again.

Same here, please fix. I am not getting a new phone in the near future, period.

I agree only partially to your disappointment and critique. As I said in message #9 of this thread the situation transcends Lichess developers and managers. I agree with you about browser. Thoug I've said in the above mentioned message that the site is more featured than the app, I'm now experiencing the slowness of loading games pages (some opponent abort the game before I come in), and above all the blocks in the middle of matches and when playing puzzle storm. I sincerely hope what has been said in message #22 is true

I really really hope that. A new trick for bypassing certificate limitation or anything else to fix it. As I said Google did it, indeed the browser works, whereas it didn't at the first manifestation of the problem in 2022
