What was the most radical shift in fads of clothing?

I was in 7th grade in the early 80s, the preppy fad crushed my part of the South. We all wanted alligator and polo shirts. If you were very particular, maybe you got the logos on your ballcap.

I remember we looked at school yearbooks from several years earlier 73 and 74. Those kids wore messy hair and bell bottoms and tee shirts. We thought they looked fairly sloppy.
Zero sudden shifts for me, I'm still wearing the same exact original clothes. :).
Well I remember when miniskirts came out.
And later short shorts and Daisy Dukes
That's about all I know about fashion
Definately Facemasks was the most radical clothing fad I've ever seen in my lifetime!

I'm glad its mostly ended; prefering to see people's naked faces in life.

It used to be before that clothing fad existed; just hospital workers, some muslims, and people looking to rob banks would wear them.

But, fashion as well as the times are always changing.
